We have woods, valleys, fields, and the Saline River on our 35 acre farm. Walking the woods and property is encouraged. Years ago, Indians camped here while salting their fish. (Saline is named for local salt wells.) The wild flowers are spectacular in the spring and early summer, and deer are often seen in the fields and yard.
Fifteen inches of solid brick construction keep the rooms cool in the summer, augmented by central air conditioning, and a Franklin stove in the living room adds coziness in the winter. The living room, library, and parlor are open to guests at all times. Wireless internet is available. We serve a full breakfast on weekends and a continental breakfast during the week.
The Homestead is a friendly, personal place for meetings, getaway weekends, or for business travelers. Information about weekly and whole house rates will be furnished on request.
Come prepared to relax, feel at home, and be welcomed as the friend that you will become!
